Mediator's Comments: I am a graduate of the Conflict Resolution Certificate program at the Justice Institute of BC and completed the Small Claims Court Mediation Practicum in 2001. In 2000 I established my general mediation practice in the Comox Valley and have been a member, Mediator Roster (Civil), since 2001. In 2002 I joined the Court Mediation Program as a Provincial Court (Civil) Mediator and have completed over 100 Provincial Court civil mediations since that time. In 2003 I was admitted to the BC Child Protection Mediator Roster and in 2007 I joined the Child Protection Mediation Program’s Mentors Roster. In addition, I have been a volunteer facilitator in a community based restorative justice program working with victims and offenders. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in criminology and 20 years experience in the public sector (Legal Aid) advocating for persons with legal problems relating to poverty and managing a not for profit organization. My mediation experience includes: separation and divorce; child custody and access and other parenting issues; child welfare; employee relations; commercial disputes; contracts; construction issues; consumer disputes; victim-young offender issues and strata owner disputes. I have experience with First Nations groups on Vancouver Island.
