Mediator's Comments:
|
I have had the pleasure of working with families, youth and children for over 25 years in various parts of Canada. I have extensive experience in human rights, equity, women's issues, sexual orientation, and disability issues. I have extensive experience working with First Nations' Bands and have conducted many CPM mediations with aboriginal families across Vancouver Island. As well, I have significant experience in working with aboriginal families and children in Nunavut, the NWT, Ontario and BC. I believe in respecting the traditions and culture of individuals and will always incorporate this into the mediation process. My education includes: a child care worker diploma, social work at BSW and Master's levels, law and women's studies and a conflict resolution certificate and practicum. I have experience mediating difficult family disputes. I live with my partner and our animal friends in peaceful Cobble Hill and am available throughout the Islands.
